Scaling Our Solution Through Water BANJA(LOAN)

SCALING OUR SOLUTION THROUGH WATER BANJA(LOAN)

Water banja, applies the principles of microfinance to water and sanitation in uganda. Disbursing small loans from our flexible and affordable lending firms to individuals and communities in various parts of uganda, especially those in dry corridors. The repaid loans go back into a revolving fund and are then re-loaned back to individuals or communities which lack access to safe drinking water.

WHY WATER BANJA

In Uganda's water and sanitation crisis, out of its population of 50 million people, 35 million are still lacking access to clean water, and 10 million people lack access to improved sanitation The current financing method of waiting for grants to address Uganda's water crisis is not enough, donations alone can't meet the demand of 35 million people in Uganda.
Meanwhile, they are getting sick and dying from the unsafe water they are drinking, not to mention the number of hours they spend collecting dirty water.
The creation of Oasis Water and Water Banja has been instrumental in empowering impoverished communities to address their own issues. It has resulted in positive impacts for many people.
Multiplying the number of people who can be helped with available resources, helps us to see where and who are to be helped fast with the small aid we get.
The absence of clean water not only poses severe health risks but also hinders economic development and perpetuates poverty.
In response, Oasis Water has stepped forward with a steadfast commitment to providing a sustainable solution to Uganda's water crisis. Our approach is an innovative initiative known as "water banja" or water loans, offering local communities access to clean, safe drinking water at an affordable rate.
The water banja model entails delivering clean, safe drinking water to low-income households that may otherwise struggle to afford it. This is achieved through a loan system, allowing households to access the clean water they need and repay it over time. The loan system is structured according to the local market, ensuring that households can easily repay without facing financial hardship.
To ensure the success of this initiative, Oasis Water has actively engaged local communities in the establishment of the water banja system and the development of a sustainable business model for clean, safe water provision. Collaboration with government institutions and NGOs has been instrumental in establishing proper regulation and monitoring mechanisms.
Furthermore, Oasis Water is dedicated to expanding the reach of our solution through the water banja approach. We have been diligently working to broaden our operations, reaching more rural communities in Uganda and ensuring the continued maintenance of the system for long-term access to clean, safe drinking water.
Our overarching goal is to guarantee access to clean, safe drinking water for every individual in rural Uganda. We are committed to delivering a sustainable solution that enables people to lead healthy lives and support their families. Through our partnerships with local communities and government institutions, we are confident that we are making significant progress toward achieving this objective.
At Oasis Water, we take pride in our efforts to provide a lasting solution for rural Ugandans grappling with a lack of clean drinking water. We believe that our initiatives will positively impact people's lives and break the cycle of poverty that has persisted for too long. By scaling our solution through the water banja model, we work tirelessly to ensure that everyone has access to enduring solutions for their most fundamental needs.
